  • Shipping & Delivery

  • At this time, Women For Sobriety, Inc. ships merchandise to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. Additionally, Women For Sobriety, Inc. ships merchandise to Canada and Mexico, and several other international locations. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.



  • International

  • Customs and import duties may be applied to International orders when the shipment reaches its destination. Such charges are the responsibility of the recipient of your order and vary from country to country. Contact your local customs office for details.

    Shipping laws are different in each country. It is your responsibility to check with your Customs office to verify whether the country to which you are shipping permits the shipment of your products. Women For Sobriety, Inc. is not responsible for any direct, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages that arise from improper international shipping practices.



  • Sales Tax

  • Women For Sobriety, Inc. charges 6% sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site and shipped to an address within the state of Pennsylvania.



  • Miscellaneous

  • Confidentiality Policy – The shipping label used on all packages will have WFS’s return address but not the full name of the organization – only the initials “WFS”.  Also the customer’s personal information will be kept confidential at the WFS office.

    Credit Cards Accepted – WFS accepts credit card payment from Visa, MasterCard, and Discover for this online catalog site.

    Pricing and availability - We will notify you if an item on your order is no longer available, temporarily out of stock, or the price has changed.

    In-Store Credit – Pre-authorization from the WFS office is needed BEFORE items are shipped back that the customer is not satisfied with (customer will be responsible for return shipping costs).  If items are received at the WFS office in saleable condition then an in-store credit will be issued to the customer to be used to purchase other items from the catalog.  However, if WFS is unable to resell the items due to the damaged condition it was received in, WFS has the right to refuse credit.

    Refunds – No refunds will be given.

    Out of Print Books – There are several books in the catalog that WFS has been able to purchase from resources that sell out of print or remainder copies from book publishers.  Some of these books have cosmetic flaws but overall are in good condition.  WFS has passed on discounts to the customer due to this.

    Newsletter Subscription - No refunds or in-store credit will be given for cancelled subscriptions. However, the customer may transfer their subscription to another person, with their consent.  All subscriptions sent to U.S. addresses will be shipped bulk rate (third class) and will not be forwarded by the postal service if the address has changed.  The customer is responsible to inform the WFS office of address changes.  Foreign subscriptions will be shipped first class through the postal service.  All subscriptions have postage included in the price.

    The monthly newsletter is mailed in a white envelope that has our return address “PO Box 618, Quakertown, PA 18951” in the upper left corner.  For confidentiality, we do not list our organization’s name on the envelope.

    Tax-Deductible Donations – Because WFS has its non-profit status from the IRS and is based in the U.S., only donations made within the U.S. will be considered tax-deductible by the government. Donations from all over the world are always welcome and greatly needed to support the program and its services to help women overcome addiction problems.
